GamSports Online is a Gambian operated website fully registered and based in the UK which seeks to inform Gambians and people who fancy The Gambia’s success in sporting activities both at home and abroad.

Entirely dedicated to sports, GamSports Online strives to add its quota to the already vibrant sports media in The Gambia and the steady but growing increase in readers' appetite for news on the internet. The objective shall be to provide as regularly as possible breaking sporting news, reviews, previews commentaries and profiles as well serves as the reference point for fast and entertaining source for sports fans with an ever insatiable need for news. Because of its proximity to the best of Europe's elite football competition the Premiership, among others, Gamsports will regularly scan the entire English and European football leagues, especially with an eye on Gambian interest areas as our compatriots begin a steady but promising forage into European leagues, albeit at junior level.

But who says football is the only area of interest. There is athletics, wrestling, handball and others and Gamsports have lined up a thick file on the present and past state of these disciplines with quotes from the men and women who matter most and are authorities in their sports.

Gamsports is a brain child of two prominent sports journalists, Lamin Cham and Yusupha Cham, both of whom edited sports in the Observer and the Point newspapers respectively.

On the advent of this site, Lamin Cham said. "Sports reporting has been my strongest point and I am thrilled Gamsports will provide me an opportunity to horn up my skills: I never stop learning and I hope this will be another avenue to expand and broaden the scope of sports reporting both in terms of the medium itself and personnel as we have been able to do at the Observer and The Point. I must stress at this point that we are not in competition but in fact in collaboration with all in the field" The people currently in the field are either our seniors and mentors or our juniors and protégés' and they are assured our greatest collaboration''.  As for Yusupha Cham, former Secretary General of The Gambia Sports Journalists Association and "the ever smiling great sports fan himself, "This is an exciting development but a big challenge that must be faced with everyone's support.
